MAT120 Quantitative Reasoning

This course is pitched at first-year liberal arts students who are not mathematicians. As such, the purpose of the course is to equip the students with basic mathematics skills that they can use throughout the other courses offered at LUJ. My approach is to treat it like a trip to the museum: we will indeed cover those basic skills, but along the way we will encounter some fun and interesting examples of mathematics that help display the breadth and quality of the subject.
